The 2008 National Champion of
College Football will be determined in Louisiana Superdome.
This will mark the second time under the new system that a national champion
team will be named for college football as the result of a stand-alone game.
After the four BCS bowl games are over the Rose Bowl, The Fiesta Bowl, The Sugar
Bowl and The Orange Bowl, the BCS Championship game will be played. It will
rotate around the four cities where those bowl games are played.
Who gets to play? It has nothing to do with which teams win the bowl games. The
NCAA football teams that will meet in the BCS championship game are be the top
two-ranked teams in the BCS standings, announced in early December.

The 2007-08 College Bowl season will come to an exciting end when
the BCS National Championship game invades Louisiana Superdome on
Jan. 7, 2008 and will feature the #1 and #2 teams in the nation to
decide the BCS National Championship.
The Superdome is the world's largest
steel-constructed room unobstructed by posts. It is the first privately-managed
and publicly-owned arena. It has hosted more Superbowls than any other venue.
For concerts, the Superdome holds the world record for an indoor concerts,
with 87,500 people showing up for the Rolling Stones in 1981.
The Louisiana Superdome is host to many major sporting events. It is home to the
New Orleans Saints, Tulane University and the Sugar Bowl. It has also hosted the
Bayou Classic Football (Grambling State and Southern University), Nokia Sugar
Bowl Prep Classic, Super Bowls XII (1978), XV (1981), XX (1986), XXIV (1990),
XXXI (1997) & XXXVI (2002), NCAA Basketball Final Four (1982, 1987, 1993, 2003),
NCAA Basketball, Division I Regionals (1981, 1990, 1999, 2001), Southeastern
Conference (SEC) Basketball Tournament (1996, 2003), and the New Orleans Bowl.
